Tin Roof Lakeland- Our Story

Meet the passionate individuals who bring Tin Roof Lakeland to life.

We didn’t set out to open a business, but when the youngest child of four left the nest, we decided it was time to downsize and move to the country. We were blessed to find nearly 15 acres located in North Lakeland just minutes from I4. Country living without the country drive!

When we first moved to the property only about a quarter was usable land and we began to stock our hobby farm with chickens, goats, cows and donkeys, learning as we went.

We became a gathering place for family and friends to get together to celebrate life’s moments. Clearing and cleaning the neglected areas took nearly four years and a lot of help and support from family and friends.

Now the land has been restored to it’s natural glory. The flowing wetlands are visible and the pond is a gathering place for all kinds of native birds and wildlife. We re thrilled to share this setting with others as they celebrate life’s special moments.

Tin Roof Lakeland is a family experience. We love to work alongside our kids and eight grandkids as we build this dream together.

Jennifer is a lifelong educator. She has served the families in Polk County for 28+ years as a teacher, instructional coach and administrator, most recently at Central Florida Aerospace as the Head of Program since 2020.

An army veteran, Tom has also worked with youth for over 25 years as an athletic coach and teacher. He currently serves as Athletic Director at Lakeland High School.
